Pray for the Nuwayhids

Dear Family,

Tomorrow, Tuesday March 9 at 2:30, there will be a time of prayer for our family in our home. One of the people coming to pray for us was healed by God of ALS disease 20 years ago.

We have been asked to widen the prayer circle and call on God's people to join with us in prayer. We have many challenges before us and believe that God is able! Please feel free to share this email with any and all, so that God would be glorified through the prayers of His people.

Here are some specifics:

Omar - "Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise." Jer. 17:14

  1. Diagnosed 2 years ago with ALS (Lou Gehrig's) disease, Omar's health has deteriorated. He is now wheelchair bound. He has lost majority of his muscular strength through atrophy of his muscles, including his diaphragm, which cause shortness of breath. He requires home health nursing aides to help him throughout the day.
  2. Despite all this, Omar still has the desire to be used of God to share the Gospel and further His kingdom to whomever God leads him to.
  3. Please pray that God would heal Omar. Pray that God would reverse the effects of the disease and restore Omar's body, muscles, nerves and all else that needs to be renewed and strengthened.

JosephA 2008 picture of Joseph Nuwayhid - Joseph is in his 5th year of chemotherapy. God has sustained him through every trial. In August, the doctors plan to switch to radiation treatment. Radiation treatment on a young child in the brain/spinal cord region could bring risk.

  1. Pray for wisdom for the doctors as they plan Joseph's upcoming treatment schedule.
  2. That God would enable Joseph's immune system to be strong so that his body can rebound and rebuild on its own.
  3. That the chemotherapy would be effective in eradicating the cancer.
  4. That Joseph would not relapse during this phase of chemotherapy maintenance.
  5. That Joseph would continue to remain fever/infection free during this stage.
  6. That God would heal Joseph completely.

Housing - Our house that we rent will soon complete foreclosure on March 31. Pray that God would deliver us from this housing burden and open a way for us and that He would clearly lead us and provide for us in the direction He wants us in.

Family -

  1. Pray for Mervat as her brother died last week (41 yrs) from heart complications.
  2. Pray for daily strength, endurance and provision for all of us.
  3. Pray that God would sustain the entire family; strengthen us all physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
  4. Pray that God would do. . ."immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen."

    5. . . .with the hope that the nations and peoples will hear and see how much the Lord has had mercy on us. . .and turn and believe and therefore put their trust in the Lord.
